What data do we collect?
HeightComparative does not require an account and does not collect any personal data by default. The height comparison tool runs entirely in your browser. Custom images you upload are processed locally and are never sent to our servers.
Cookie Consent
On your first visit, HeightComparative shows a cookie consent banner. You can choose to Accept All (enables analytics and advertising cookies) or Reject Non-Essential(disables all tracking — the tool still works fully). Your choice is saved in your browser's localStorage under the key cookie-consent. No tracking occurs until you accept. To change your preference, clear your browser's local storage for this site.
Cookies & Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand aggregate, anonymised usage patterns — such as which pages are visited most and which features are used. GA4 may set cookies on your device. No personally identifiable information is collected through analytics. GA4 is only loaded if you have accepted cookies via the consent banner. You can also opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Advertising
HeightComparative may display third-party advertisements (e.g. Google AdSense) to fund the free service. Ad cookies are only active if you have accepted all cookies via the consent banner. Ad partners may use cookies to serve relevant ads based on your browser history. You can manage your ad preferences through your browser settings or Google's Ad Settings.
Third-party links
Celebrity height sources and external links on this site may lead to third-party websites. HeightComparative is not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites.
Data retention
Because we do not collect personal data, there is nothing to retain or delete. Analytics data is retained by Google according to their own data retention policies.

We may update this policy as the site evolves. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
