Independent, solo-run project

I built HeightComparative because a number alone rarely answers a height question. When someone asks how much taller LeBron James is than Kevin Hart, “41 cm” is accurate but hard to picture. Seeing both drawn on the same baseline answers it instantly. Most comparison sites I tried were cluttered or drew figures that were not actually to scale, so I made the version I wanted to use.

This is a solo, independently run project, not a company. I build the tool, write the guides, add the celebrity data, and fix mistakes when they are reported. There is no team behind it, and no account or signup is needed to use anything on the site.

How This Site Is Built and Kept Accurate

Celebrity heights are reported figures, not measurements I took myself. Most entries cite Wikipedia, which in turn draws on interviews, official sports profiles, and press coverage. A few athletes use official league profiles. Every celebrity page shows its source name, a link to it, and the date I last checked the figure against that source.

Public sources can differ by a centimetre or two depending on footwear, age, and when the height was recorded, so treat every celebrity height as approximate. I do not publish guesses or user-submitted heights. If you find an error, use the contact page and include a source. I review corrections within 7 days.

New celebrities, comparison pages, and guides are added by hand in batches. The guides are written with cited figures where they use statistics, and the height calculator uses the standard conversion (1 inch = 2.54 cm) so its results can be checked by anyone.

What Can You Compare?

The comparison tool supports four kinds of subjects on the same canvas:

People: add anyone by entering a name and a height in ft/in or cm
Celebrities: search 113 celebrity heights, each with a listed source
Objects and entities: buildings, animals, vehicles, and fictional characters
Custom images: upload your own picture and set a real-world height for accurate scaling

Once figures are on the canvas you can zoom, reorder, undo and redo, and export the result as a PNG to save or share.

Privacy and How the Tool Works

The comparison tool runs in your browser. Comparison data and images you upload stay on your device and are not sent to my servers. The site is built with Next.js, Konva.js for the canvas, and Tailwind CSS, and its pages are generated ahead of time so they load quickly. Advertising & Revenue

HeightComparative is free to use and I may show ads from Google AdSense or similar networks to cover hosting and development costs. Ads are chosen by the ad network, and I do not endorse the products they show. You can manage your ad preferences through your browser settings or Google's Ad Settings.

All heights on this site are approximate and meant for general reference and entertainment. I make a reasonable effort to keep them accurate but cannot guarantee that every figure is precise. For full details, see the Disclaimer.
